Sunday Afternoon Tea
Welcome to a brand new feature here on Kidmin1124.com. Starting next Sunday, we will be introducing “Sunday Afternoon Tea.” In this feature, we hope you will join one of authors each week for a lazy Sunday afternoon conversation. Whether you enjoy hot tea or good old-fashioned southern ice tea, pour yourself a cup and come find out a little bit more about our authors.
What drives them? Why do they work in children’s ministry? Who were the shaping influences in their life? We will ask a series of questions each week of one of our authors. Some will be light-hearted and others more hard hitting. Our questions will run the gamut from their childhoods through their work in children’s ministry. Some questions will require very short answers and other longer more in depth answers, but that’s part of the fun!
You can always find out a little bit about our authors on the Authors page of our website. We hope that this segment will help you to get to know them a little better and a little deeper. We hope that this segment will give them a chance to share even more of their wisdom and insights. Our goal at Kidmin1124 has always been to build a community of children’s ministry volunteers and those who lead them. That’s one of the reasons we have other outlets beyond this blog like our Facebook page and our group on CMConnect.org. It’s also the reason we started our biweekly radio show on CMConnect.org. The authors on this site were the first members of that community, and as you join us, it only seems right that we make some introductions.
When we started the Kidmin1124 Volunteer Champion of the Week segment, I said to all of the authors that they would be my choices for the first recipients of the award if they weren’t already writing for the site. This is my effort to alleviate that issue and give you, our readers, a chance to get to know them better.
So, join us next Sunday and the ones after, anytime after 12:00 PM EST. Pull up a figurative rocking chair on our front porch and listen in on a conversation with one of our authors over a cup of tea. We hope you will get involved in the conversation too. Want to know more about one of our authors? Just leave your question in the comments, and we’ll make sure that they get back to you.
For those of you participating in our Kidmin1124 One Year Bible Reading Challenge, from now on we will be publishing the weekly reading schedule on Saturdays to make room for Sunday Afternoon Tea.

Wow. It's Quiet Here...
Be the first to start the conversation!
