This is my very first blog representing Kidmin1124, and it has been a challenge!  I couldn’t decide where to start.  I have so many things I want to say, so many things I want to share with you, and yet and I can’t seem to get it down in writing.  But, there is no stopping me now!  God has had this intentional plan for my life since I was born.  It is truly an honor to have been asked to join this group of creative and extremely knowledgeable writers.  The last month of my life has changed me in so many ways.  It all started when God began to answer all of my prayers seemingly all at the same time.   I know that he answers them everyday – big or small – whether we recognize it or not, he does and answer them!  However, the last month has really been a flood of some extremely awesome answered prayers in my life.

So, how does this next season of my life begin?  Well, first of all, it is does not end until at least 1:00 AM each night!  I am up at least that late each evening reading posts on CMConnect and Kidmin1124 until I finally fall asleep at my computer.   The next season of my life begins everyday when my feet hit the floor in the morning.  I start each day by closing my eyes once more and talking to the one who has made my life what it is.  Then I smile and begin my day with my awesome family!  I will stay in contact with the leaders and mentors in my life and engage with CMConnect and Kidmin1124 communities.  I will be encouraged by each one of you daily, let the world inspire me to learn more and always be working on growing to the next level of the plan God has laid on my heart.

Kidmin1124 has nothing to do with me and everything to do with you.     My goal here on Kidmin1124 is to share my lessons, visions, research, helpful topics, changes and so much more!  I will also be writing on leaders, mentors and inspiring people that have had a great impact on my life.   You will hear stories about my family, real life solutions, keeping your family in balance and answers to all your questions.   I will be talking about volunteers and why they are so important to the children’s ministry community.  I hope that together we will learn how to better lead them, develop them and encourage their every move.  We will learn how to build relationships, train and teach them.  I will strive to learn the love languages of every volunteer (straight from Wendy Douglas also a Kidmin1124 blogger).   Together, we will learn to bridge gaps and help each other create incredible children’s ministries.  We will  impact each child’s life that we come in contact with by loving them and not giving up on them.    I also want to hear your stories, trials, loves and answered prayers.   I want you to tell me how your life has been blessed because I bet you can top mine!

God’s plan for me gets better every day, and I have this incredible church family that brings out the best in me.  I have an awesome team in the children’s ministry that grows daily. I have two amazing ministers in my life that help me every step of the way.  They believe in me and encourage me more each day!    I am in love with the man I married 11 year ago.  Our marriage grows stronger each day not because we wake up and it magically happens but because we work very hard on it.  My husband listens to me when I talk!  He looks in my eyes and smiles no matter how much I ramble.  I appreciate every little thing he does for me and our kids.  He is amazing and definitely one of a kind.  Our Marriage has been blessed by God.

Do we have things in our life that needs work?  YES, we all do!  My husband lost his job almost 2 months ago.  We are in desperate need of a new car, but can’t afford to take on the car payments.  We are trying to do the best we can with Christmas right around the corner.  So, does that stop me from doing anything I want?   NO WAY!  Does it keep me from smiling and impacting other people?   NOPE!  My point is that we all have things going on in ours lives – both good and bad.  In the end, it is how we choose to let it affect us and everyone around us that really matters.  So, did John losing his job affect us?  Yes, it has given an entire new drive!  We deal with! Is it hard? You have no idea, but it is not money that makes us rich it is our attitude and our love for GOD that keeps us going.  Our lives have gotten better not worse – so much better that every day I can’t wait to get up and start my day!  I have so much more excitement, passion, creativity, will to help others, encouragement and drive.  I am a catalyst for my own life!   I have God to thank for my life and where I am right now in my life!  I want nothing more than to help everyone I come in contact with know that God is present, that He will provide, that He does love us, and that he is our maker!    When the world is judging you, it is so important for you to know that God is not.  If Jesus is the Lord of your Life, he does see your shortcomings and sins,  he sees the righteousness of His Son.  God does not care about money or material things.  He only cares about YOU!

I want to use the incredible gifts that has given me to help you every day!  What is special about you?  What is your desire?  What is your niche?  How can we pull it out of you?  Do you know why you are here?  It takes some people a lifetime to figure it out and others a very short time.  How long are you going to wait?  Join me each day as we look into our lives and draw out our passion and plans one day at a time!

You can find me on:

I look forward to getting to know you better.

  3. It will be so great to see God use you in big ways in the days, weeks, months and years to come. What a blessing to be able to share what you learn so others can learn with you.

    • Thanks ROb! God has Plans for each one of us! I learn each day that I have to have more faith in him & his plan. Somedays are like a fun roller coaster ride and others I feel like a turtle trying to cross the road. But we cant give up and we have to motivate ourselves to reach higher. Everything in this world has a lesson attached to it but how will we define it & use it to help someone besides ourselves is the real question. Amazing things happen day to day! Thank you for the many chats and brain overloading emails, I have learned so much from you and appreciate all you time!
