Archives For Equipping Vounteers

As you all know, Kidmin1124 is dedicated to those people that volunteer in children’s ministry. Our goal is to equip and encourage those people that freely give of their time to serve kids within the church. What better way to do this then to ask them what they need. So, if you are a volunteer in children’s ministry please click on the link below and fill out the survey. If you are a children’s pastor or children’s ministry leader, than I would ask you to share this link with the people that serve in your ministry.  My hope is that this survey would be filled out by children’s ministry volunteers from all over the country and even the world. The information gathered in this survey would then be used to guide the direction of the articles we write for Kidmin1124, so that we can make this the best resource possible for children’s ministry volunteers.

If a print copy of this survey would work better for you, then shoot me an email at mnormancarguy@gmail.com and I will email it to you. I tried to attach it to this post, but couldn’t figure it out in the time I have.

I couldn’t believe it when my friend showed me the post-card. “Every six weeks,” she explained, “We get a reminder that it’s our turn to serve in the church nursery.” The problem? I vowed to never allow this to happen (actually, I half-jokingly threatened our nursery coordinator to never let this happen). But it also reminded me about ways that I’ve poorly communicated with others — whether volunteers, parents, or other ministry leaders.

Happy Easter!  Tomorrow is the day we celebrate Christ’s resurrection from the grave.  I think it is important to remember as we work our way through this Bible Reading challenge, that it all leads up to that moment.

As we read about the Israelites and their struggles with idolatry and as we read of the wickedness (and occasional righteousness) of their leaders, the human condition becomes apparent and the need for a savior becomes evident.

He is risen!
